Dancers, on the whole, are just terrific people. And, at The Dance Place, we feel very fortunate to be surrounded by all the woncerful dancers that support the studio.
We are completing our 20th year of teaching folk to dance, and are looking forward to the next 20 years. It amazes us over and over to look around and see all the smiling teachers and students in the studio.
Our first location was on a little street named Portsmouth, running between Greenbriar and Shepherd, and was just 2,400 sq. ft. in size. We moved from there to a 5,200 sq. ft. studio at the corner of Richmond and Fondren. Then, in 1992, we moved into the 5,600 sq. ft. studio in the Chimney Rock Plaza. After 10 years there, we were fortunate enough to move into our present 7,800 sq. ft. space in that same center.
With downturns in the economy and folk cutting back on expenses wherever possible, we feel extremely fortunate that our business has continued to grow despite all the uncertainty of the economy. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support.
Happy Holidays and best wishes for the coming year.
Sincerely,
Michael, Phillip, Patsy and all the teachers at The Dance Place
