26th Annual Holiday Showcase
Saturday, December 18, 2010, marks the close of another fantastic year of dancing at The Dance Place. This is the culmination of months of work for many teachers and students throughout the Houston area. On this night, folk from as far away as Beaumont will come to The Dance Place's 26th Annual Holiday Showcase to watch their friends and families "strut their stuff" as they show off the routines they have worked so hard to perfect.
Starting at 7:30pm, the show will consist of three separate acts and will feature a variety of dance levels and styles. As always, we present new performers along with seasoned veterans in a show that provides a good mixture of dance styles and skill levels. We present some high level competitive dancers and some of our very talented professional dancers also perform a few of their dazzling routines. The audience will be highly entertained by traditional Ballroom routines, Whip, Country Western, Latin, Argentine Tango and other show dances.
The show will be filmed and immortalized on DVDs that may be purchased for a nominal fee.
With over 50 performances to present, the schedule will be very tight, so we urge performers and audience alike to be prompt on getting to the studio so we can get under way right on schedule. The show will be held at The Dance Place, 3300 Chimney Rock, ste 500, Houston, TX, 77056 | PH: 713-266-0066. Tickets cost $25 per person. We do expect a sell-out crowd, so get your tickets ASAP to be assured of a seat. Once all seats are gone, we will offer standing room only tickets if space permits.
We expect the show to conclude at around 10:30pm. We will play general dance music during the two intermissions. Heavy hor d'oeuvres will be served at the end of the show. Soft drinks, water and juices will be available throughout the evening. You are welcome to bring beer, wine or other alcoholic beverages.
