Lookin’ Like Christmas
The Dance Place is beginning to get that warm and fuzzy feeling that comes around at this time of year. Partly, that’s due to the season, the people who frequent the studio and the ideals and attitudes exemplified by the owners and the teachers.
But the “lookin’ Like Christmas” bit? That is due to some fantastic ladies associated with The Dance Place. Phyllis Baker, Donna Fraley, Yvonne Kubicek and Sharon Shelton Pease donated several hours of their time to put Christmas trees together and to decorate them for us. Since then, Mary Lou Kyriacou and her mother, Mary Simmons, have gone out and found more decorations for us. Some of these same ladies will be putting those decorations together to create an even more “Christmassy” atmosphere for our 26th Annual Holiday Showcase on December 18.
Yvonne Kubicek helped Michael Schedler put garland and lights around the mirrors, which ads a really nice touch to the ballroom. And Michael’s mother – Patsy Schedler – brought in her fabulous collection of Santas with which to decorate up the lobby. Patsy and Michael also put together and decorated a small tree in the “kitchen” area. Phyllis Baker brought in some trees to help set the stage for Frosty’s setting and, in general, the place is looking mighty spiffy.
Another decoration “party” has been scheduled for Sunday so the ladies can put the table decorations together for the December 18th show. If you have some spare time between 1:30-3:30pm on Sunday, December 12, and want to help with that project, let us know by sending an email to email@example.com.
You can also request information about our December 18th show via that email address, but do so right away as we expect a full house.
We want to let Phyllis, Donna, Yvonne, Mary Lou, Mary and Patsy know how much we appreciate their taking charge of decorating the studio for us. That is a truly big weight off of our shoulders, and we can't say "Thank You" enough to let you gals know how much we truly do appreciate what you do for us.
